		Retaruke Country Estate is a highly productive deer farm, farming venison and velvet. Velvet is harvested annually and sold for medicinal purposes. Retaruke venison is marketed on the European and American market, as well as locally. Clients can also experience life on a working farm.
		Archery is available on site with compound and re-curve bows. Target archery is a lot harder than it looks but is a great challenge, and a lot of fun.
		Fly fishing on the Upper Retaruke River is the best fishing in the Central Plateau. The river runs around the property and Rainbow and Brown Trout are common, ranging in size from 2-6 pounds.
		If fun and adventure is what you're after, take a Quad bike on a tour of the property. Splash through the many streams and crevasses, and take in the breath-taking views atop the Retaruke ridges.
		This is the most relaxing and scenic way to unwind before the evening meal. Those who set out on an early morning or late evening stroll will meet many native animals along the way.The property is fully tracked through the native bush - take a camera, the scenery is magnificent.
